Partnachklamm is a freaky place. It'll give you claustrophobia and vertigo at the same time. It is as if millions of tons of granite have been kneaded and cut and shaped out of order. Yet even on tiny, darkened surfaces, you will find life.

Partnachklamm is a freaky place. It'll give you claustrophobia and vertigo at the same time. It is as if millions of tons of granite have been kneaded and cut and shaped out of order. Yet even on tiny, darkened surfaces, you will find life. You'll also find quite the challenge for cameras. I think my 60D carried itself well, and my choice of wide-angle lens was wise indeed.

Fall crops from our balcony plants. The tomatoes were great, the strawberries ripened strangely, with a very long period of red-but-not-ripe and then going quickly to overripe. But then, late September is not exactly strawberry season any more.

Singing "We are living in a ... Walker's Paradise". Last I checked this site, non-US cities were really poorly supported. Now even small towns like Oberpfaffenhofen gives a sensible result.
