  1. Indeed, solar panels alone won't do everything. But they can do a lot more than they currently do, especially in sunny US. A study recently found that putting solar panels on all the roofs in New York City could cover the city's entire electricity usage.

  3. Hmm, can't find that post right now, all I'm getting is this saying the 2/3 of roofs suitable for solar could cover 50% of power use. Maybe I got confused. http://money.cnn.com/2011/07/25/technology/solar-new-york/index.htm
