This is my first time taking lightning shots with Magic Lantern. It felt almost like cheating that I could lean back and eat cake while my camera just snapped away at the appropriate times.

ReplyDeleteIt uses the motion detection feature. A sudden flash looks enough like motion to work. It's a little slow for cloud-to-cloud lightning, but cloud-to-ground takes long enough that it can react.
