    Just reminds me to a conversation that I recently had when I asked a colleague where she's living. - Still in munich,  but her commuting time is comaparable to mine (with straight-line distance being about 1/10 of my distance as I'm quite far in the suburbs).

    I'm loving being back on my bike (when I don't have our dog with me -- need dog basket attachment), it truly is the fastest way to get around downtown. Plus it's fun to outpace Maseratis on the way in:)

    Their algorithm is pretty simplistic, though. They just put fixed-size bubbles around the stations. There really should be smaller and smaller bubbles going out along the Stammstrecke until it gets to where the S-bahn takes all the time available.

Nothing very unusual -- it just threw a filament. Toward the middle of 2012, a long standing solar filament suddenly erupted into space producing an energetic Coronal Mass Ejection (CME). The filament had been held up for days by the Sun's ever changing magnetic field and the timing of the eruption was unexpected. Watched closely by the Sun-orbiting Solar Dynamics Observatory, the resulting explosion shot electrons and ions into the Solar System, some of which arrived at Earth three days later and impacted Earth's magnetosphere, causing visible aurorae.
