I'm starting to look at places it could be cool to have a Belegarth event. An actual historical castle (rather than the plywood ones they have in the US) would make for a fantastic backdrop, so I started collecting castles, castle ruins, and palaces in the area. A plain Google Maps search doesn't get all of these, I had to vary the terms a bit, and also got some help from official listings. The more I worked on it, the more castles kept popping up. And Munich is not even in high-density area for castles.

Let's chat about that in the office. I was on some larps etc. In castles or castle ruins. But a well situated castle is often very expensive to rent for any event - or in very high demand.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to hear your experiences.
ReplyDeleteI realize that renting an actual castle would be expensive, especially down around here, but at first I'd be happy to have it as backdrop, so having access to a lawn with a view would be enough.
