I saw this image and realized that, while what it says is both true and false, it is most important when it is false. Sometimes, the cost of being a decent human being is in fact one's whole life – and those are the times when the price is most worth it. So I spent some time thinking about this, and writing some more.

  1. I wasn't particularly ... enlightened? moved? by the article. I like Yonatan, but this seemed either empty or trite -- of course ethics don't mean much if you ditch them when they're inconvenient. So? What is he getting at? And I didn't understand the allies / accomplices thing much at all. (Again, my reaction is "Okay, so what?").
