Does anyone here have experience with switching out office chair wheels to protect hardwood floors?

I'm starting to see marks where our office chairs are used the most. I looked online and found some places selling polyurethane or rubber wheels, claiming they're easier on the floors. Have anyone here actually tried such a switch? Does it work? Would rubber wheels leave stains?

ISTR that Ikea also sells rubber wheels for their office chairs.
ReplyDeleteIkeas has plastic covers for this purpose: http://www.ikea.com/de/de/catalog/products/44881100/
ReplyDeleteWe have quite new ones chairs and only one kind of wheels was available. They offer those ugly plastics mats for people without a carpet. Sigh better than nothing...
