1) It spells out the mechanisms behind my intuition that violent revolutions lead to violent/unstable countries afterwards. While a peaceful revolution doesn't guarantee peace, it doesn't create extra seeds for violence.
2) It gives a sensible explanation for why other stable countries with high gun ownership don't have the gun violence we see in the US.
